The map is color-coded in shades of blue based on wind power classes. The lightest blue areas correspond to power classes 1 to 2 and may be suitable for rural applications, but not usually utility-scale applications. Regions in power class 3 or better (darker blues on the map) are suitable for most utility-scale wind turbine applications.
